The Open AIS core services will be published under BUSL-1.1. The repository’s license file will contain the authoritative Open AIS terms.
Source access and modification
The Business Source License permits copying, modification, derivative works, redistribution, and non-production use. Production use is governed by the Additional Use Grant included with the published source.
Production use
The repository’s license file will define the Open AIS Additional Use Grant, Change Date, and Change License. Review those terms before using the software in production or offering it as part of another service.
AIS data license
The software license does not apply to the aggregate AIS stream or vessel data supplied by Open AIS. Those interfaces are governed by the Open AIS Data Use License.
