The Open AIS core will be source available under the Business Source License. Data received from the stream and vessel APIs is covered by a separate data-use license.

Open AIS Data Use License 1.2
Build commercial applications and analytics without attribution. Operating or supplying a raw AIS or vessel-position data service requires both written Open AIS permission and explicit opt-in from the affected data providers.
